Family-owned, Shish Kebab was opened by a chef from Iraq known for his beef kebabs. Now, he’s brought those kebabs to Lincoln. Prepare to be transported when you enter Shish Kebab. The elegant dining space boasts two large rooms that can be reserved for private events with tranquil music and water features. Once you settle at a table, you forget how close you are to the busy North 27th Street.
Fresh, hot tea is served strong, and Middle Eastern soda is available for purchase. The most popular order here is beef kebabs with bread to go. One bite and you’ll understand: the beef is tender and exquisitely seasoned. That can be said about all the meats here. The hefty falafel doesn’t disappoint either. Its breading is light and crunchy, and when you dip one in the hummus, prepare to be wowed.
