If you’re from Lincoln, you’ve probably had Honest Abe’s at one of their four locations around town. But, if you’re new to town or haven’t tried Honest Abe’s, you’re missing out on a Lincoln icon.
Honest Abe’s started as a food truck in 2011 and has grown steadily ever since. Serving up some of the tastiest, messiest, biggest burgers in Lincoln, Honest Abe’s has a standard menu of Classic Burgers, Rotating Burgers, and a Weekly Burger.
Fun fact: Each location gets to pick its own Rotating Burgers, so, depending on where you go, the menu might look a little different.
In addition to burgers, Honest Abe’s also serves Freedom Fries, Parmesan Truffle Fries, Sweet Potato Fries, Freedom Tots, and chicken nuggets. They also whip up some sweet milkshakes.
The beef is local, a special Honest Abe’s blend from Piedmontese cattle. All sauces, jams, salsas, and pickled onions are made in-house. To top it off, Honest Abe’s prides itself on catering to the customer, so they also offer a variety of gluten-free options (chicken nuggets and gluten-free buns), vegan options (patties and buns), and chicken can be substituted for beef.
Honest Abe’s is a casual, chill, fun environment that also happens to serve some of the best dang burgers around. So, it’s no wonder they’ve become such a Lincoln favorite.
