Basketball in LNK hits different this year. The energy is high, the brackets are bold and with the Nebraska Cornhuskers men's basketball making serious noise, the hype feels very real. March Madness is not just something we casually tune in to, it is basically a full season of its own in Lincoln.
If you are a sports fan, you already know the plan. Clear your schedule and get ready for wall-to-wall basketball. This is the time of year when everyone suddenly becomes a bracket expert, confidently picking upsets and convincing themselves that this is finally the year they win the group chat pool. We hope your bracket survives the first weekend, but if it gets busted early, good food, cold drinks and the perfect watch spot is the perfect cure.
Clear your calendar. Call your crew. Pick your watch spot.
Let the madness begin. Here’s where to post up in Lincoln for all the March and April hoops action:
Big Red Restaurant & Sports Bar

With two convenient locations, Big Red is basically a top seed in Lincoln’s sports bar bracket. There are more TVs than you could ever dream up and a menu deeper than your favorite team’s bench. Fan favorites like the Chicken Fried Steak Dinner, Big Red Wrap and Craft Beer Cheese Bacon Mac make this a power play for any game day. When it comes to watching hoops in LNK, Big Red is built for a deep tournament run.

Brewsky’s Food & Spirits

A Lincoln staple for nearly 35 years, Brewsky’s is the definition of consistent excellence. With three locations and TVs everywhere you turn, you won’t miss a buzzer-beater. Their wings and nachos are game-day essentials, and the beer list covers local favorites and international picks. The Haymarket location even features Blazin’ Pianos on weekends, so if your bracket gets busted, at least you’ve got live music to soften the blow.

Hawk’s Nest Sports Bar & Grill

One of Lincoln’s newer sports bar additions, Hawk’s Nest, came ready to compete. With 21 TVs and two giant projector screens, this is where you go when you want to feel every second of the shot clock. Up to 20 beers on tap, specialty pizzas and a high-energy atmosphere make this a prime-time pick for tournament season.

The NZone

A Husker sports tradition since 1995, The NZone in the Historic Haymarket is a certified classic. Known for hot wings, cold beers and pregame energy before Husker matchups, it’s also clutch for March Madness watch parties. Burgers, pub favorites and wall-to-wall TVs make it a reliable go-to. Pro tip: try the Jiffy Burger with peanut butter and bacon. It’s bold. It works. It’s a slam dunk.

Tanner’s

Born in Lenexa, Kansas and thriving in Lincoln, Tanner’s at Yankee Hill brings serious game-day flavor. Burgers, wings, nachos and their famous Tanner Tots keep the table stacked long after halftime. Grab a “Booga,” settle in and let your team cook. This is the kind of atmosphere where every three-pointer feels personal.

The Press Box

With a name like The Press Box, you already know the vibe. This Lincoln favorite balances serious sports energy with a family-friendly feel. Wings, nachos and the prime rib Philly hit the trifecta, and indoor and outdoor seating options make it easy to host your own bracket watch party. No deadlines here, just good games and great company.

Sportscasters Bar & Grill

You had us at buckets of beer. Sportscasters is your friendly northeast Lincoln hangout that knows how to do game day right. Great food, plenty of TVs and a comfortable atmosphere make it a consistent contender. The Sportscaster Burger and NHL wings are fan favorites, and when the games get tight, the energy gets even better. Cinderella story? Not here. This one’s a veteran.

Rosie’s Sports Bar and Grill

Featuring 22 HDTVs, live music every weekend, and all of your favorite games, Rosie’s classic menu and small-town atmosphere definitely ticks all of the boxes for a Quad 1 win. A robust happy hour with lunch specials, including their chicken-fried steak and beef brisket sandwiches, are some of the best in town. Have a big group to entertain? Their party rooms definitely deliver in the clutch as well, meaning your get-together will always advance to the next round.
