Visitor Promotion Committee

The Visitors Promotion Committee (VPS) serves as an advisory committee to the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners (County Board) in administering the proceeds from the city lodging tax. The VPC meets quarterly to review and make recommendations to the County Board regarding grants from the County Visitors Improvement Fund as well as provides general oversight of tourism activities in Lancaster County performed by the Visit Lincoln. The seven-member committee, appointed by the County Board, consists of three from the hotel/motel industry and four representing tourism interests.
