BigShots Indoor Range is Lincoln's newest state of the art indoor firearms and archery facility. We feature nine shooting lanes as well as a 3-D archery range. Come see our full line of firearms and ammunition. Memberships and rentals are also now available. We allow up to a .223 caliber at this time on the range. With any caliber, 2,700 feet per second is the threshold for the range. S&W 500 and 460 are also not allowed on the range at this time.
This 742-acre area has great spots for picnicking and camping, as well as a lake, making it a perfect place for a close-to-home getaway. Anglers especially enjoy Bluestem, which has a 325-acre lake. Picnicking, camping and other activities are also offered.
Fishing: Bluestem State Recreation Area provides great fishing opportunity for largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, walleye, northern pike and wiper among others.
Boating: All types of boating are allowed at Bluestem. The area also has four docks and three boat ramps.
Swimming: A swimming beach provides guests with a way to cool off during the hot summer months. There are no lifeguards on duty.
Archery: An archery range gives both new and experienced archers the chance to sharpen their skills.
Picnicking: Bluestem has 62 picnic tables and 97 grills for those looking for a spot to grill and relax.
Primitive Camping: Bluestem offers primitive camping only. There are 19 camping pads without electricity, as well as 200 non-pad sites without electricity. The area also offers water, vault toliets and a dump station.
Located in downtown Lincoln in the historic Grand Manse building, Boiler Brewing Company will provide you with a unique experience in every glass. The Boiler Brewing Company is the only place that you can get Boiler Brewing Company beer. Have a seat, relax and enjoy. If you want to take some Boiler Brewing Company beer home with you, you can do that too with their 32 oz. to-go vessels.
The Bourbon Theatre is located inside a completely remodeled 1920 movie theatre and has emerged as a music venue Lincoln, Nebraska has never experienced.
Branched Oak State Recreation Area features the largest lake in eastern Nebraska and has long been a popular spot for fishing, boating and camping. Approximately 1,800 acres of water, along with well-maintained modern and primitive campsites, two swimming beaches, hiking trails and an equestrian campground draw visitors from near and far. A marina offers fuel, bait, boat rental, concessions and a bar and grill.
Fishing: Branched Oak Lake offers great fishing opportunities and is a popular spot with anglers. Available species include blue catfish, bluegill, common carp, channel catfish, crappie, flathead catfish, freshwater drum, largemouth bass, striped bass, walleye, white perch and wiper. There’s a daily bag limit of one walleye, 22 inches or longer, and there’s a 10-inch minimum length limit for crappie. Striped bass, white bass, wiper and flathead catfish are catch-and-release. A wheelchair-accessible deck is available near the marina, and fish cleaning stations are located at areas 5 and 11.
Boating: Branched Oak Lake is open to all types of boating. Nine ramps and 49 docks are available. The marina sells fuel and also offers boat rental.
Swimming: Branched Oak features two swimming beaches. There are no lifeguards on duty at either.
Marina: The marina sells bait, firewood and fuel, among other amenities, and also offers boat rental and a bar/grill.
Trails: The park offers seven miles of hiking trails, six miles of mountain bike trails and three miles of horse trails.
Picnicking: Branched Oak SRA offers 41 picnic shelters, three of which are reservable. One reservable shelter has electricity and accommodates up to 60 people. The park also offers 625 picnic tables and 588 grills.
Other Activities: Branched Oak also offers archery, horseshoe pits and a nationally recognized dog trial area. It’s also a popular spot for wildlife viewing, particularly in the spring when many visitors stop by to view bald eagles.
Modern Camping: Branched Oak offers 300 camping pads with 30- and 50-amp electrical hookups, as well as 32 camping pads without electricity. The lake has five shower houses, modern restrooms, dump stations and playground equipment.
Primitive Camping: The area offers 183 non-pad sites without electricity. Only one camping unit is allowed per site, though an extra tent is allowed for dependent children only.
Equestrian Camping: Visitors can camp with their horses in one area of the park. This area offers 15 pull-through sites with electrical hookups reservable at the park office only, as well as 14 corrals. Hand-pump drinking water, toilets and fire rings are available in the equestrian camping area.
Take an adventurous ride on the Platte River, considered to be one of the nation's best and most beautiful air boating rivers. Catch a glimpse of bald eagles, blue herons, white tail deer and more in their natural habitat. Tours last approximately one hour, but Bryson's Airboat Tours are happy to meet your needs. They also offer several packages from family reunion activities to an office outing.

The Burkholder Project houses 25 studios and four galleries that feature new shows monthly. You are invited to visit studios where you can see art in progress, as well as finished works. Located in the heart of downtown Lincoln, Nebraska's Centennial Mall is one of the most frequently photgraphed and most recognized public places in the state. Countless citizens visit the seven-block public space that connects the State Capitol to the University of Nebraska. Built in 1967 to commemorate the state's centennial anniversary, Nebraska's Centennial Mall has functioned as a gathering area and rallying point for many different historic events and occasions. The mall is currently under restoration and redesign. When completed, Centennial Mall will celebrate the State's natural and cultural heritage, provide durable accessible walkways and flexible spaces to accomodate a wide variety of activities and uses.
