Both of these insects fall under the same order Lepidoptera, but they possess many differences that classify them as either butterflies or moths. For instance the way they rest their wings, whether they are nocturnal or diurnal, the shape of their antennae, their color, their eyes, and even where they can be found all make them different from one another. In this episode we will explore the science behind what makes a butterfly a butterfly, and what makes a moth a moth. Both are found in Nebraska in great diversity and both deserve to be respected and appreciated for the duties they do. Join us and learn all about these two diverse insects! This event is FREE, but requires pre-registration: After registering, you will receive a conformation email with more information for the event.
