Join us for the second annual Hub & Soul music series this summer at Union Plaza, 21st and Q Streets. Presented by Cornhusker Bank, Hub & Soul is a free community event designed for people of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate local musicians, local food, and Lincoln’s parks. The series will be held six consecutive Thursdays from 5:30-8:30 PM. beginning Aug. 27 and ending Oct. 1 at the three-block Union Plaza, home to the Jayne Snyder Trails Center, and the hub for Lincoln’s 134-mile trails network. New this year, we will have two bands each night. The band lineup is as follows: Sept. 17: 23rd Vibration | Ro Hempel Sept. 24: Edem Soul Music | Jarana Oct. 1: Will Hutchinson | Kris Lager Band About this week's artists: 23rd Vibration Based out of Lincoln, Nebraska, 23rd Vibration is a group of individuals from everywhere. Dubbed-out jams layer over a rhythm section steeped in authentic roots reggae style, bringing original music and fresh interpretations of classic reggae covers. Bringing roots reggae and original stylings to the heartland. Conscious music raising the vibe of our time. SECOND SET • 6:45 Ro Hempel Ro Hempel is a singer/songwriter hailing from the heart of the midwest playing original music. Whether he is performing a solo acoustic show or sharing the stage with a full electric line up (Ro Hempel Band), he is sure to keep you entertained with his positive, good vibe music. The high energy live performances and smooth, easy listening tunes are gaining the attention of people all over the country. Ready for the opportunity to spread their music to listeners of all ages and in all areas, the excitement is high and the possibilities are endless.
