August 18, 2018 our annual Conference will be held at First Lutheran Church, 1551 S 70th, Lincoln, NE. Our Speaker: Kathleen Brandt, an international genealogy consultant, speaker and writer has more than 10 years of experience as a Professional Genealogist and is a licensed Private Investigator. Her clients include NBC Who Do You Think You Are? Seasons 2010-2011, PBS, Finding Your Roots, with Henry Louis Gates, 2012 and she appeared on the History Channel, How the States Got Their Shape, 2012. Her genealogy articles have been published online through and AARP magazines. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG). Join us for a fulfilling day learning new genealogical techniques and gaining knowledge of genealogical resources you may have overlooked. We’ll start the day “Finding Your Revolutionary War Soldier” followed by the “10 Best Bets for Civil War Research”. After lunch we’ll be inspired by learning about “Oral and Family History: Sharing Our Ancestors” and we’ll end the day with “The Changing Surname – How to Trace It”. There is truly “something for everyone” included in the topics being presented and the speaker will captivate you with her speaking skills.
