The Lincoln Municipal Band will present its annual summer concert series on Sunday evenings from July 3rd through August 21st. The concerts will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm at Antelope Park by the John Shildneck Memorial Bandshell. This year's dates are: July 3: America the Beautiful, Young Artist Award Winner Patriotic music for the season's opening concert. Featuring Alex Hoffman, trombone, the Winner of the 2022 John Shildneck Young Artist Competition. Conductor: Bob Krueger July 10: The Big Screen, Music from the Movies Music written for or inspired by motion pictures. Conductor: Bob Krueger Soloist: Nathan LeFeber, trombone July 17: The Greatest Generation, Salute to Seniors A Variety of favorites and classics from years past. Conductor: Bob Krueger Soloist: Dean Haist, trumpet July 24: Heroes, Thanking our First Responders The Lincoln Municipal Band will pay tribute to our first responders. Conductor: Terry Rush Soloist: Bo Atlas, tuba July 31: Sunday Fun Day, Bring a Picnic Bring a picnic and enjoy fun, family-friendly music. Conductor: Tony Falcone Trombone Madness: Featuring the Trombone Section August 7: Great Music, Classic Cars on Display A local car club will display its finest automobiles for audience members to view before and during the concert. Conductor: Carolyn Barber Soloist: Louie Eckhardt, trumpet August 14: Thank a Teacher, Tribute to Educators The Lincoln Municipal Band will pay tribute to our teachers, with an opportunity for audience members to recognize their favorite teachers in the program. Conductor: Bob Krueger Soloist: Scott Anderson, trombone August 21: For Those Who Served, Veterans Tribute Individuals who have served in our nation's armed services will be honored. This annual program will feature selections specific to each branch of the armed forces, as well as music representative of and dedicated to military service.
