Good Life Halfsy Registration Prices Increase on May 6th

Lincoln, NE (April 27, 2016) – Runners looking to run a fall half marathon are encouraged to sign up for the Good Life Halfsy NOW before the registration price goes up on May 6th at 11:59 pm. The half marathon in Lincoln, Nebraska is already 60% full and is seeing more registrations per day than last year when it SOLD OUT in early July.

The 3rd Annual Good Life Halfsy half marathon presented by Bulu Box will be held on Sunday, November 6th, 2016 at 8:30 am in Lincoln, Nebraska. This year, the event will again be capped at 6,000 runners and will quickly SELL OUT again. Prices to enter the Good Life Halfsy go up to $80 per runner after May 6th at 11:59 pm and the race is currently 60% full.

“Runners are encouraged to sign up immediately for the Good Life Halfsy. This will insure they reserve their spot in the race before it sells out and save money before the price increase,” said Ben Cohoon Co-Race Director. “Runners continue to tell us how excited they are for the Halfsy because of the improved course, awesome SWAG, huge Abe Lincoln finisher medal and fantastic race day experience.”

The race has quickly become a favorite for participants around the Midwest and Nebraska runners. Last year, the capacity crowd of 6,000 runners came to Lincoln from 35 states and 250 Nebraska communities. With the large number of participants and number of visitors to Lincoln, the event is estimated to have a multi-million dollar economic impact for businesses in Lincoln. Current registration statistics, for the 2016 race, are forecasting even more visitors to the capital city, with runners from 28 different states and over 400 different towns and cities already signed up.

“Lincoln, Nebraska is known nationally as a runner’s destination,” said Jeff Maul, Executive Director of the Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Runners from across the country are coming to Lincoln because of the flat fast courses, great race organization, welcoming nature of the city and scenic running routes. Lincoln annually hosts three nationally recognized running events with the Lincoln Marathon, Market to Market Relay and Good Life Halfsy.”

The 2016 course is net downhill point-to-point half marathon starting from Seacrest and ending on Canopy Street.  The new section along Holmes Park Road and Pioneer Woods Drive is a fun loop near lakes, over creeks, through tree lined streets and past several parks. This update to the front half of the course allowed organizers to remove the out-and-back section within Innovation Campus and also create the most direct route through Haymarket Park to the Canopy Street finish line.

“Runners and fans love the epic finish at the Good Life Halfsy. The opportunity to run downhill and see thousands of people cheering you on is what runners’ dream of. With the number of fans along the entire course and especially at the finish line every single runner in the Halfsy gets the feeling like they are superstars. It makes crossing the finish line and all the hard work it took to get to that point worth it,” said Jason Bakewell Co-Race Director.

Registration is open and filling quickly, currently at 60%. Registration prices increase after May 6th at 11:59 pm.   Register and get ready for your experience at
