RV enthusiasts and the “RV curious” in the area will not want to miss the FMCA International Convention & RV Expo presented by Blue Ox at the Lancaster Event Center Fairgrounds from Wednesday through Saturday. Nearly $5 Million Awarded to 15 Tourism Nonprofits

On Thursday, August 11, City of Lincoln and Lancaster County officials announced their allocation of $4.9 million in grant awards to 15 local nonprofit tourist organizations impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. USHL's Top NHL Draft Prospects Come to Lincoln in January

LINCOLN, Neb., January 1, 2019 - The Lincoln Stars, in conjunction with the United States Hockey League (USHL), have announced that the 2019 USHL/NHL Top Prospects Game will be hosted on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at The Ice Box.

The two-day event will begin on Monday, Jan. 7 with off-ice measurements conducted by NHL Central Scouting as well as an on-ice testing session followed by the game on Tuesday evening. New Downtown Trolley Debuts

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA, November 30, 2018 - StarTran’s new Downtown Trolley will make its debut at the Winter Lights celebration from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 7, at Tower Square, 13th and “P” streets. National High School Finals Rodeo selects Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, bringing more than $64 million impact to Lancaster County

The Lancaster Event Center (LEC) in Lincoln, Nebraska, has been selected to host the 2020 and 2021 National High School Finals Rodeo (NHSFR). The National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) board of national directors voted unanimously (47-0) on Saturday morning at their Mid-Winter Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona. The event has rotated the past nine years between the Wyoming communities of Gillette and Rock Springs; making Lincoln only the third location to host the event in recent years. The selection is pending successful final contract negotiation over the next 45 days.

Evening Star Shuttle WIll Link City Garages and Haymarket

Mayor Chris Beutler today announced new options to make parking easier for those headed to Downtown, the Pinnacle Bank Arena and the West Haymarket. A new Evening Star Shuttle will take passengers on a route that includes many of the City’s Park and Go garages. The shuttle will operate from 6:45 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights through July 12. The fare is just 25 cents, but those who present a Park and Go ticket or a current bus pass may ride for free. The shuttle will run on a continuous 15-minute schedule.

NSAA State Volleyball Returns to Lincoln

In May of this year, the Lincoln Convention and Visitors and Bureau (CVB) presented a bid to return the NSAA Volleyball Championships to Lincoln after a three year move to Grand Island. With a bid that included the new Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln Public Schools and a renovated Devaney Sports Center, Lincoln was awarded the bid today for the next three years starting in 2014.

Lincoln to Host 2015 State Games of America

Mayor Chris Beutler today announced that Lincoln will host the 2015 State Games of America
July 28 through August 2, 2015. He thanked the Nebraska Sports Council (NSC) and the
Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau (LCVB) for winning the right to host the national event,
which is expected to draw 18,000 participants and generate an economic impact of $20 million.
Securing the rights to host the State Games of America was the result of two years of research
and development by the NSC, LCVB and many facility and business partners. The research
included surveys of participants, volunteers and sponsors who overwhelmingly approved the
concept and pledged to participate.

First "Party in the Parks" Festival is Saturday

The “Party in the Parks” series of public arts festivals begins Saturday, June 29 with events planned from 4 to 9 p.m. at Union Plaza. No admission fee will be charged, and several food trucks will be selling refreshments.

Jazz in June returning this summer

Organized by the Sheldon Museum of Art, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln School of Music and many other sponsors, the Jazz in June series presents a different jazz performance every Tuesday evening in June. This year’s performers include the Kendra Shank Quartet, the Valerie Capers Ensemble featuring Victor Lewis, Angela Hagenbach and Jackie Allen.

Located west of the Sheldon Museum of Art on 12th and R streets, the music begins at 7 p.m. Come down early to catch the Jazz in June Market, starting at 5 p.m., where a variety of vendors offer food, drinks and unique merchandise.

The Lincoln Community Foundation is having a Garden Performance Series this summer, going from May through August. Join for a different live music performance each Wednesday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Market Season has arrived in the Haymarket

2013 Hear Lincoln Schedule

Local Lincoln Race is Largest Day-Long Relay in the World

The Market to Market Relay Nebraska is expanding to 500 teams and 4,000 runners this year, making it the largest day-long running relay in the world. Registration is now open through an online registration lottery, with 300 teams from last year’s race already pre-registered. A lottery will select an additional 200 teams on May 18th to run the 6th Annual Market to Market Relay rounding out the 500 team field.

Lincoln's Children's Zoo to Partner with Git-R-Done Foundation and Larry the Cable Guy

Lincoln Children's Zoo announced today a partnership with the Git-R-Done Foundation and Larry the Cable Guy. The project, called Zoofari with Larry the Cable Guy, will give hundreds of children's hospitals and rehabilitation centers across the nation the chance to bring the zoo to their patients. Zoofari with Larry the Cable Guy will feature a series of fun and educational videos for children who can't visit a zoo themselves. Filmed on location at Lincoln Children's Zoo, the Zoofari videos feature Larry the Cable Guy interacting with zookeepers and animals.

Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau and Pershing Center to Offer Shuttle Service for State Girls and Boys Basketball Championships

The Lincoln Convention and Visitors Bureau along with Pershing Center have teamed up to offer a free shuttle service to tournament spectators for the State Girls Basketball Championship, February 28 – March 1 and State Boys Basketball Championship, March 7- 9.

Women's Husker Tennis ITA Champions

Saturday and Sunday, Husker women’s tennis, ranked 17^th, hosted the ITA Kick-Off Weekend tennis tournament at the Nebraska Tennis Center. Only 15 schools across the nation play host to ITA Kick- Off tournaments, making this one of the biggest tournaments ever to be held in Lincoln.
