Lincoln, NE—Music fans of all ages will enjoy four days of free, live bands and entertainment daily at the Pepsi Free Music & Entertainment Series during the first weekend, August 1-4, of the annual 10 day Lancaster County Super Fair. The Super Fair runs August 1-10 at the Lancaster Event Center fairgrounds.

The series is presented and hosted by live talent daily from radio stations Froggy 98, B107.3, red 94|5 and 105.3 Wow!FM. Added this year is unique entertainment from Wildlife Encounters and an opportunity for kids to meet Disney’s princesses Jasmine and Cinderella & superhero Spiderman.

This year’s series was booked by Lancaster County Ag Society Board Director, Jamie Bauman. “We really wanted to make sure we had music and entertainment that appealed to everyone at our county fair, and are excited to be featuring so many of the local favorites this year!” said Ms. Bauman, who has past experience booking bands for both the Super Fair and UNL College Rodeo team events

The Pepsi Free Music & Entertainment Series performances will be enjoyed outside in the beer & food garden. The live acts will perform on the Super Fair Main Stage adjacent to the Attraction Zone found on the north side of the Lancaster Event Center fairgrounds. The Super Fair is a showcase of Lancaster County and surrounding youth, ag & other community exhibits and offers dozens of free and low cost attractions for all ages. The Super Fair continues to grow with over 9000 entries from more than 700 local 4-H/FFA youth exhibitors and 500+ open-class exhibitors of all ages. The Lancaster County Super Fair is the largest county fair in Nebraska and one of the largest 4-H/FFA county fairs in the country. For a full list of free attractions, free and reserved ticket information and daily schedules, visit SuperFair.org.

The Lancaster County Super Fair is organized each year by the Lancaster County Agricultural Society. The Ag Society is a 9-person publicly elected volunteer board established under Nebraska State law in 1870 to promote and engage the community with agriculture with a special emphasis on youth. The Ag Society raised funds, with much support from the Lancaster County Board, to open the Lancaster Event Center fairgrounds (LEC) in 2001 as a permanent home for the Lancaster County Super Fair and now over 200 year round 4-H/FFA and other community events, many at discounted rental rates. The LEC is a non-profit 501(c)(3) in its 18th year that now hosts over 320 events including 120 regional, national events that drive over $40 million in outside visitor spending for Lancaster County. Local citizens are encouraged to get involved with the Lancaster Event Center fairgrounds year-round as volunteers, donors, advertisers, exhibitors, contestants, show organizers and as team members.
