December 1-27 (with opening reception Friday Dec. 1, 5-7 p.m.) the Nonprofit Hub will be exhibiting a collection of Linda Stephen's origami collage art on the third floor of our space. Linda started creating paper paintings in 2003. Instead of paint, she layers hundreds of colorful handmade Japanese papers and invented origami sculptures to celebrate Lincoln and beyond. If you can't make the First Friday reception, stop by our building between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. work days through December 27 to see the art. Location hint: Nonprofit Hub is directly above the downtown Raising Cane's and across the street from Noodles & Company. Artist Linda Stephen's art is part of public and private collections on three continents and includes animated origami TV commercials as well as custom art for hotels, hospitals and city halls. Linda enjoys the potential of origami, which through a multifaceted progression of paper-folds can transform a flat piece of paper into almost anything. Now, the executive director for the nonprofit Nebraska State Stroke Association (www.NebraskaStroke.org), Linda has lived, worked and traveled around the world.
