The Haymarket Theatre is producing Amy Herzog’s 2002 Pulitzer Prize for Drama finalist play 4,000 MILES. Directed by Bobby Bonaventura the play features Juanita Rice, Ian McKercher, Meghan Arenz and Michaella Deladia. After a cross-country bike trip where he encounters a major loss, 21-year old Leo takes up residence with his 91-year old Marxist grandmother, Vera, in her West Village apartment that has not been redecorated since the 1960’s. The play focuses on the how these unlikely roommates frustrate and challenge one another. A humorous and moving drama. 4,000 MILES looks at how two outsiders find their way in today’s world. Show times are April 20 to 22 and 27 to 29 at 7:30 and April 23 and 30 at 2pm. The Haymarket Theatre is located at 803 Q St in Lincoln’s Historic Haymarket District.
