LOCAL ALPACA FARM WELCOMES VISITORS FOR A SAFE AND FREE EXPERIENCE

Alpaca Picnic at JP Acres

Lincoln, NE - Joel Armstrong, owner and operator of JP Acres alpaca farm in Lincoln, NE, saw the urgent need for his community to get out of their homes and safely experience something new. Therefore, he will open his farm to the public to come by appointment only to visit the resident alpacas.

There are five areas available limited to 10 people per area with space to comply with Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Departments’ Health Directive Order. Each area will have a chairs so that attendees can bring a picnic lunch. Each visit will last about an hour.

With their inquisitive and gentle nature, alpacas are known to bring happiness and relaxation to those who have the opportunity to sit and watch them where they are most at ease. This is also a great learning opportunity for parents continuing their children’s education at home.

“With people so uncertain about everything going on during these stressful times,” said Joel, “I wanted to invite the public to safely share the animals that bring me such joy every day.”

To make a free appointment to visit the farm, call 402-802-4177. Appointments are available between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. daily as long as there is a public interest. Every seating area will be thoroughly disinfected between visitors and will each have a hand washing station.

There will be a freewill donation bucket for those willing to help support this event for all to enjoy.

JP Acres is located at 10000 Benton Street in Lincoln.

THOSE WHO ARE SICK OR HAVE A FEVER, COUGH OR RESPIRATORY ISSUES SHOULD NOT ATTEND.
