  • Formula SAEJune 19 - June 22

    Nearly 100 colleges and universities from around the world will converge on Lincoln to participate in the Formula SAE Collegiate Design Series Competition.  Teams from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, & India will compete formula race cars they have designed & built.  This event will take place in Lincoln’s Airpark on the west ramp of the Lincoln Municipal Airport.

2013 Hear Lincoln Schedule

Hear Lincoln is a weekly summer concert series sponsored by the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce with bands presented by Hear Nebraska and takes place each Friday from Noon-1 p.m. on the corner of 13th and O Street in front of the Wells Fargo Building. The series kicks off on Friday, May 17 with a performance from UUVVWWZ.

Local Lincoln Race is Largest Day-Long Relay in the World

The Market to Market Relay Nebraska is expanding to 500 teams and 4,000 runners this year, making it the largest day-long running relay in the world. Registration is now open through an online registration lottery, with 300 teams from last year’s race already pre-registered. A lottery will select an additional 200 teams on May 18th to run the 6th Annual Market to Market Relay rounding out the 500 team field.

Lincoln's Children's Zoo to Partner with Git-R-Done Foundation and Larry the Cable Guy

Lincoln Children's Zoo announced today a partnership with the Git-R-Done Foundation and Larry the Cable Guy. The project, called Zoofari with Larry the Cable Guy, will give hundreds of children's hospitals and rehabilitation centers across the nation the chance to bring the zoo to their patients. Zoofari with Larry the Cable Guy will feature a series of fun and educational videos for children who can't visit a zoo themselves. Filmed on location at Lincoln Children's Zoo, the Zoofari videos feature Larry the Cable Guy interacting with zookeepers and animals.

Women's Husker Tennis ITA Champions

Saturday and Sunday, Husker women’s tennis, ranked 17th, hosted the ITA Kick-Off Weekend tennis tournament at the Nebraska Tennis Center. Only 15 schools across the nation play host to ITA Kick- Off tournaments, making this one of the biggest tournaments ever to be held in Lincoln.
